A discreet chardonnay. Very subtle. Dried hay, toasted cashew, nougat, toasted hazelnut and a beam of leesy curd notes. This is almost bereft of obvious fruit references and all for the better, as far as I am concerned. Micro-vinifications in fine French oak constitute a chardonnay that should fill out over time, if not a bit thin as it stands.
