How's it taste?

Full of white peach blossoms, honeydew and lemon, all covered in a generous splash of Grannysmith Apple. This continues onto an electric palate, lifted by a rich fruit-sweetness, and sparked to life with a crispy acidity. A pleasure to drink at any time of the day.

How was it made?

A labour of love and passion, originally hailing from Campagnia, Fiano is a variety of incredibly ancient heritage. A true pleasure to craft. One of the most complex noses of any white variety. 

Method: 24 hours skin contact, wild ferment, matured in stainless steel.

Who made it?

Inspired by the desire to craft uniquely Australian wines that speak strongly for our sites, soils, lifestyle and culture - Brendan and Laura Carter ventured into the desert-regions of the Riverland to identify varieties that require minimal intervention in the vineyard - existing on some of the most ancient soil in the world. Their soil-first ethos dominates their winemaking, aiming to shepherd the process rather than influence it - making use of a raft of post-modern philosophies such as amphora, wild ferments, skin contact and minimal sulphur use.
