Heady rose petals, potpourri, apple, lime and mineral scents; pristine, long and vivacious; gentle but textural, dry and finely balanced.
Jeremy Oliver
The Brief
How's it taste?
Lifted aromas of crushed lime leaf and citrus blossom at first, then followed up by some slatey/flinty notes and a hint of stonefruit. The palate is crisp, dry and slightly talcy/slatey, but has enough fruit concentration to keep it all in balance. The limey characters emerge as the wine opens up with air and seem to go on and on forever.

James Halliday - Halliday's Wine Companion
Sourced entirely from Pikes' Polish Hill River vineyard. It may well be, as Neil Pike says, made for the 8 to 10-year long haul, but I'd be very happy to have a glass tonight. It's beautifully balanced and spacious - not a word that I use often - thus allowing the complexity and texture to build with grace.'

Fascinating melon, lime and green-apple character with hints of crushed stone and minerals. Full bodied, dry and creamy textured. Love the focus and purity to this wine. Drink now.

Gary Walsh - The Wine Front
It's so irresistibly limey and juicy, you can't help but love it straight away. Aside that, intensity, fine chalky feel, and superb length. It grabs the ball, runs flat out, and finishes with a flourish. Great now, but no hurry. You get the picture, I hope, without so many words.'

A very delicate and refined nose with subtle blossom and lemon juice aromas. The palate has exceptional flavour and purity bound by a fine core of acidity. Excellent drive. Enjoy now or cellar for further complexity.'

Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Very reserved, shy, discreet yeasty aromas of mandarin, orange and other citrus nuances. The wine is restrained on the palate as well, with a crisp and almost austere finish loaded with drying acidity and savoury notes. Long, lean aftertaste. A very refined wine and a keeper - best if cellared.
