Deep red/purple colour and a fusty, earthy, underbrush and ironstone bouquet, with hints of cocoa-powder, that is very savoury and brooding. Oak is making a contribution but it's not overly oaky. A full-bodied, rich, dense wine with lashings of ripe tannins and long aftertaste. Impressive and worth serious cellar time.
