Great packaging and a lovely French rosé back again and looking superb!
100% Grenache, it comes from just outside Montpelier in the south of France. Gentle fruit flavours and excellent acidity, it's a wine of unquestioned freshness but some lovely fruit delicacy too.

How's it taste?

A massive standout at our tasting panel, this rose is made from 100% Grenache and is a lovely easy to drink wine. Ripe red fruit aromas with hints of candied fruits and spice that continue onto the palate. Fresh, vivid and well rounded this is a delightful rosé.

How was it made?

This wine is produced from Grenache grapes grown on 15 to 20-year-old vines planted on clay limestone soils in the Languedoc region, between Montpellier and Sète, near the Mediterranean coast. Grenache is a quite rare grape variety which gives the best of itself when it grows in arid regions. The climate in this region is hot, dry and very sunny. The yields are low (65hl/ha). After a direct pressing, an extensive racking of the must takes place in order to obtain a very clear juice. The juice is then vinified as a white wine and fermented at low temperature (15°C). For this Grenache, there is no malolactic fermentation.

Who made it?

Badet Clément is the story of two winemakers, passionate about the diversity of wines and vineyards, possessed by a love for the earth and a penchant for well-executed work. With their feet rooted in tradition, and their hands reaching out to innovation, Badet Clément has participated in the revival of wines from Burgundy, the Languedoc, and the Rhône Valley for over 20 years. Founded in 1995 by Laurent and Catherine Delaunay, two winemakers of Burgundian origin, Badet Clément is specialized in the production and marketing of brand and estate wines hailing principally from France’s Burgundy, Rhone Valley, Languedoc and Provence regions. Based in Burgundy with its head office located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the company manages production at its various sites mainly located in Languedoc and Burgundy: a winery and ageing cellar in Marseillette, a winery (Aude), cellar and blending facility in Monze (Corbières), grape production and vinification at Domaine du Trésor in Ouveillan (Aude), grape production at Domaine de la Métairie d'Alon in Limoux (Aude), a winery and ageing cellar at L’Etang-Vergy (Côte d’Or). The company’s mission is to offer wines adapted to international markets that give consumers an experience that goes beyond their expectations.

My friends often ask me, “How do you know which wine to pick?” To be honest to comes down to a range of factors; the occasion, the people, the food or even just what mood I’m in. But one of the things I love is when I try something new or slightly different to what I’d normally drink and it blows me away. Here are a few wines that I’ve recently uncovered:
