2018 Bald Hills Road Adelaide Hills Rose
Well here's a seriously delicious Adelaide Hills rosé at a pretty amazing price. From the Howard Vineyard, using premium Adelaide Hills grapes, this is deliciously dry and moreish, it's dry and crisp with just a little twinge of sweetness. One bottle simply isn't enough of this very very easy drinking rosé.
Charming and bright, this attractively expressed rosé shows elegantly lifted aromas of raspberry, stone fruit, grapefruit and floral on the nose, leading to a finely textured palate that is juicy and silky. It is beautifully framed by crisp acidity, finishing long and lively. At its best: now to 2020.
How's it taste?
Aromas of cherry, strawberry and musk, which open up onto a lively palate of red fruit with lovely undertones of savoury spice and ends with a crisp and crunchy finish. A great aperitif style wine.
How was it made?
Savoury Adelaide Hills Rosé made in a dry style. Vibrant rosé that is pale in colour and very fresh with just a little sweetness.
Who made it?
The Bald Hills Road range is made exclusively for us by Howard Vineyard. In 1890, Amos William Howard discovered subterranean clover thriving naturally in a picturesque valley in the Adelaide Hills. Today, Howard Vineyard’s stone barn cellar door and premium red vineyard are located in Nairne, on the site of this original farm. Subterranean clover continues to grow at this site, restoring Nitrogen and ensuring the health and quality of the soil in this spectacular vineyard. 30km away, their high altitude (470m), cool climate white vineyard at Schoenthal (“Beautiful Valley” in German) is one of the Adelaide Hill’s finest sites for growing fresh, crisp sparkling and white wines renowned for their delicate notes and distinctive fruit purity.
