From the estate Razorback Road vineyard in the southern Hills, close to Kangarilla and eastern McLaren Vale region. A warm season allowed for a low crop to fully ripen. Small bunches were crushed and destemmed to traditional small open concrete fermenters. 12 months in new and old French oak.A combo of cooler-climate location and a warmer vintage has worked together to deliver classic cabernet dark berries, with atypical leafy and herbal notes. There are mint aromas, but not dominant. The success of this wine is thanks to its medium weight yet saturation of cabernet flavour, supported by superfine tannins and the very faintest of suggestions of gastronomic bitterness on the finish. Great value.

David Sly - Decanter
When Cabernet Sauvignon in cooler, elevated Adelaide Hills sites gets fully ripe, the results are beguiling, and the long 2018 vintage provided ideal conditions. Restrained cassis and dried sage shape the aromas here, while generous flavours of plum, blackberry and chocolate linger long on the sensuous palate. A bargain at AU$30 a bottle.
