"Lightly tropical and honeyed. Leaner style."

Tomich have a knack for delivering quality Chardonnay at very fair prices, and this Adelaide Hills white is no exception. A nice balance between taut acidity and then white peach fruit here, all making for a lovely modern white.

Expert Reviews

It is elegantly fragrant on the nose showing ripe apple, peach, toasted almond and vanilla pod characters. The palate is equally attractive with succulent fruit intensity and smooth mouthfeel, leading to a lingering creamy finish. Flavoursome, friendly and very appealing. At its best: now to 2021. 92 points - Sam Kim

How's it taste?

Lifted aromas of white nectarines and apples with hints of creaminess. The palate is rich and textural with ripe stonefruit, pear and melon flavours, balanced by a clean citrus acidity which leads to a crisp, refreshing finish.

How was it made?

Tomich sources its fruit from one of the largest cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, where cool temperatures promote late budburst and long, slow ripening periods. The mesoclimate results in outstanding fruit quality, which produces wines of intensity and complexity. Tomich have made this wine exclusively for our members as part of our Regional Selection range.

Who made it?

Established in 2002 by Dr. John Tomich and his wife, Vicki, this Adelaide Hills winery has a remarkable reputation for innovation and harnessing some of the best winemaking talent in the country. The fruit is sourced from their own 200 acres of vines located in the very cool Onkaparinga Valley in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. It is the largest vineyard in the region and is farmed using sustainable practices. Today, Tomich Wines is still family owned and operated with John's son, Randal Tomich, heading up the winemaking duties alongside consultant winemaker Ben Riggs.

Let’s face it - we all have very different wine tastes and not every wine you find will be right for you right now. That’s why I’ve put together a little selection of my favourites - wines that I’d be very happy to enjoy this weekend which are guaranteed to hit the spot.
