Why's this wine for you?

How is the Barossa Valley, Australia's epicentre of wine viewed by the rest of the world?

Three Rings Shiraz. That's how.

Robust, powerful fruit, all lavish and decadent with mulberry, blackberry and baking spices - it's the exact styling that all big, rich reds aspire to. For years 3 Rings has been a mainstay on the shelves of the big-guns and supermarkets in Australia and the USA, making it one of the most iconic and popular wines across the globe. And now, it's our turn at The Wine Collective's (albeit at an extraordinary new low price).

It's easy to fall in love with the charm here. So much is packed into this wine. Cedar. Warmth. Gravitas. There's even a hint of liquorice, and plum and chocolate cake. Regal Barossa Shiraz for the world stage? Sign me up.

How's it taste?
Deep ruby in the glass, with oodles of dark raspberry and blackberry aromas, spicy and rich with crushed raspberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, black pepper spice, anise, and cedar spice flavours layered and lush on the palate.
How was it made?
From a cooler season with a long ripening period allowing the grape phenolics and flavour to ripen symbiotically with the sugar maturity. Once in the winery every care was taken during ferment to give the wine maximum time on skins to extract the depth of flavour and colour that this wine exhibits. This is a fantastic example of a well grown and well-made Barossa Valley Shiraz that is ready to drink now and will also continue to reward the patient for the next 15+ years

Black licorice, star anise, and huckleberry flavors are dense and juicy, with accents of chai, dried ginger, cinnamon, and tobacco. The tannins are firm but don't get in the way of the generous flavors.

Lavish Australian Shiraz that ticks all the right boxes. Cedar, plum, sandalwood, liquorice and blackcurrant jam.
