Fresh earthy creek water overlaid with boysonberry/mulberry/blueberry. Studded through with cloves and cinnamon stick. More savoury than the nose would suggest. Upright tannins push there way around the palate, displacing fruit characters coming over from the nose. Taught acid and licorice tie it all together on the finish
