2017 Penmara Reserve Pinot Noir
From the cool heights of Orange, this spicy, and gently plummy cool climate Pinot Noir straddles the riper red raspberry of warmer sites but with peppery edges. Savoury, light-bodied and very easy drinking.
How’s it taste?
Fragrant ripe dark berries and raspberry notes with hints of spice and savoury elements, continue onto the palate. Soft tannins and well-integrated oak create a generous mouthfeel and balance to the wine, finishing with great length.
Who made it?
Penmara was created when five, well-established, family-owned vineyards joined together to take control over the way they were making and distributing wine. Located in the Hunter Valley with access to vineyards in Orange and the surrounding areas provides them with access to different climates and soil types. This enables them to produce quality wines of character with a unique sense of place.
