Incredible depth on the nose. Plums, cocoa, mulberry, vanilla pod, blackberry and blue fruits, eucalypt, mushroom and spiced charcuterie. There is a hint of charred oak, with firm tannins and a medium to full bodied intensity. Luxurious Barossa from an ancient vineyard. Easy to see why this became a cult favourite around the world. Has hallmarks of Greenock Creek or Kilikanoon's Attunga.

Why's this wine for you?

Be ready to be called the 'wine hunter' as you land yourself an extravagant piece of Barossan old-vine glory. An enormous, statement Shiraz from 130 year old vines, tended by hand, completly dry-grown and vinified with the care and attention a bespoke Rolls Royce would deserve.

Paying $35 per bottle on a $150 wine isn't exactly a daily opportunity, so you can imagine we have to be a little coy with the details behind this flagship. All we can say is this: the label you will receive is exactly the same wine, cork, bottle and all, as you'll find the cellar-door with an asking price northward of $150. The wine itself is only ever made in the best vintages, and has previously nothced up some significant scores from the likes of Halliday an company, including 98pts just a few years back. It's also become a big hit with collectors across the globe, where the likes of VIVINO has it placed in the TOP 1% of all wines in the world!. An extraordinary feat, made even more dazzling by the fact you'll be able to take it home and save nearly $700 a case in the process.

Dust a spot off on the top-shelf, as this long-lived behemoth will deserve a place at the pointiest end of your wine collection

How's it taste?
Notes of dried cherry, charcuterie, tapenade, leather, black and blue fruits, cocoa powder and vanilla. The nose has hints of cedary oak leading to a silky-smooth palate exhibiting plush mouthfeel and rich fruit intensity. Multi-layered and engaging with excellent complexity and harmony.
How was it made?
Planted in 1891 it is a small dry-grown gnarly old vineyard producing tiny quantities of intensely flavoured fruit. Hand-harvested these gems are then given tender loving care in the winery. An exhilarating expression of the very best Barossa Shiraz can be and truly a world-class wine
