From Trent Burge (son of Grant) comes a typically flavoursome South Australian Shiraz built in a style you just know is going to be good before you crack the lid.

Using luscious Barossa fruit with a smidgen from other parts of SA for complexity, the whole package is a chunky, proudly Australian red with plenty of oak, rich fruit and firm tannins.

Expert Reviews

90 Points - Johan AxlundGreat value. Soft, yet rich in fruit flavour. Good use of oak and length

Tech stuff

How's it taste?

Bright red in colour, the palate has flavours of ripe cherries, raspberry and spice with a full bodied and soft, silky finish

How was it made?

Situated in one of South Australia's pre-eminent wine regions, the 600m high Mount Kitchener stands tall as an iconic landmark of a great wine producing area. The Mount Kitchener range represents iconic varieties of South Australian wine.

Who made it?

There’s no better way to get to the top of your field than to learn from the best and when your dad is Grant Burge, you’ve got a pretty good start. And boy, has Trent Burge made the most of that start. Stepping out of his father’s shadow, Trent is now rightly considered one of the Barossa’s best young winemakers in his own right. A hands on winemaker who has learned his craft from the ground up, Trent is the man behind ‘Family Wine Estates’ and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with him.
