A massive standout at our tasting panel, this rose is made from 100% Grenache and is a lovely easy to drink wine. Ripe red fruit aromas with hints of candied fruits and spice that continue onto the palate. Fresh, vivid and well rounded this is a delightful rosé.

How's it taste?

With its nice pale pink colour, it is a very bell-balanced wine, fresh, vivid and round, with fruity flavours.

How was it made?

This wine is produced from Grenache grapes grown on 15 to 20-year-old vines planted on clay limestone soils in the Languedoc region, between Montpellier and Sète, near the Mediterranean coast. Grenache is a quite rare grape variety which gives the best of itself when it grows in arid regions. The climate in this region is hot, dry and very sunny. The yields are low (65hl/ha). After a direct pressing, an extensive racking of the must takes place in order to obtain a very clear juice. The juice is then vinified as a white wine and fermented at low temperature (15°C). For this Grenache, there is no malolactic fermentation.

Based in Burgundy with its head office located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the company manages production at its various sites mainly located in Languedoc and Burgundy: a winery and ageing cellar in Marseillette, a winery (Aude), cellar and blending facility in Monze (Corbières), grape production and vinification at Domaine du Trésor in Ouveillan (Aude), grape production at Domaine de la Métairie d'Alon in Limoux (Aude), a winery and ageing cellar at L’Etang-Vergy (Côte d’Or). The company’s mission is to offer wines adapted to international markets that give consumers an experience that goes beyond their expectations.
