A charming, cherry-flavored red, accented by earth and spice notes. Lushly textured, with harmony and moderate length. Drink now through 2023. 700 cases imported.

Tasting Notes

A d eep red colour . On the nose, intense and fruity aromas such as strawberry and red currant with black fruits. On the palate, the tannins are refined and lend a nice roundness to the body with a fleshy intensity. Elegant aftertaste.'

Winemakers Note

Harvesting was done by hand, in small open crates in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. After sorting, the grapes were crushed and the must racked to temperature-controlled fermenting vessels. Maceration and vinification over a period of 2-3 weeks, with spontaneous ferment using indigenous yeasts. A combination of punching down and pump over were used during fermentation. After ferment, the wine was pressed and racked to French oak barrels (10% new) for 12-15 months maturation.
