Deep ruby red with a garnet tinge in color, the nose reveals all the elegant and fresh complexity of the fruity and spicy notes that are typical of Sangiovese. It displays a very attractive harmony on the palate, with rich fruit combining with velvety tannins, and an amazingly long finish.

Located in the heart of Montalcino the Poderi Casisano farms 57 acres of Sangiovesse Grosso at an altitude of 480 metres elevation, the property is located on a terrace overlooking the historic Abbey of Sant Antimo. With a commitment to traditional practices of long maceration and large format Slovanian oak for aging the purity of Sangiovese is captured from the Galestro soils
