Belgrave is undoubtedly the flagship estate of Dourthe , by its Cru Classé status on the one hand, and also by the knowledge of its exceptional terroir, located just nearby Saint-Julien . In addition, the heavy investments since 1979 to enhance a precise viticulture are part of the desire to produce a very great wine . Some parcels of Merlot were impacted by the frost, so the production is smaller than usual, and there is a large part of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend . This 2017 Belgrave is an exceptionnal wine, with great depth, density, freshness, "more Saint-Julien than ever".
