2016 Glendale Regional Series Limestone Coast Shiraz
A true representation of a Limestone Coast Shiraz crafted by Sam Brand.
How's it taste?
Lifted black fruit aromas with a touch of pepper and spice and an underlying smoky/gamey tone. The palate is juicy and balanced with just a hint of oak on the finish.
Who made it?
Glendale is a range of wines from the Limestone Coast, produced by the family owned and operated Brand Group. Patriarch Eric Brand first established Brand's Laira in Coonawarra with the first vintage being 1966. His sons, Jim and Bill bought up new vineyards after the sale of Brand's Laira to the McWilliam's Group. Today, the business is run by Sam Brand, Jim's son. He has several different labels in his portfolio, the top tier being the Jim Brand range (named after his father). The Glendale label represents regionally specific wines, that are well-made and deliver excellent value.
