Tasting Notes
This juicy, bistro-friendly blend of 80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico comes by the hand of Alessio Di Majo, the 'lone wolf' of Molise (an obscure, easily-overlooked D.O.C sandwiched between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea). Founded in the late '60s, this organic estate has been the pacesetter in this beautiful, rugged part of Italy for some years. This wild-fruited, spicy rosato is a fairly recent addition to the line up and we could not say no. It offers a generous, plump texture with sweet/savoury aromas and flavours of red berries, cherries, almond paste and fresh herbs along with zesty, vibrant acidity.
Winemakers Note
Di Majo Norante Moli Rosato Terre degli Osci IGT is a blend of 80% of our best Montepulciano grapes and 20% Aglianico. This wine is characterised by a lovely, intense, bright pink colour. It is best enjoyed young and is a great accompaniment to dishes using tomato based sauces and to white meats. Serving temperature: 16-18° C
