2015 Watershed Senses Margaret River Cabernet Merlot

2015 Watershed Senses Margaret River Cabernet Merlot

Recommendations

Now with an extra year or so of bottle age, and in wonderful form, this mid weight Margaret River Cab Merlot is soft and cedary with some lovely blackberry fruit.

With a gold medal and 3 silver medals it's also a well-received wine too. A high quality West Aussie red and at a blindingly sharp price.

Expert Reviews

94 Points - Sam Kim - Wine OrbitThis is beautifully styled and expressed on the nose showing cassis, Black Doris plum, cigar box, mixed spice and dark chocolate aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that is richly fruited and delightfully smooth. The wine delivers gorgeous fruit power backed by fine, chalky tannins, finishing persistent and smooth. At its best: now to 2025.'
94 Points - James Halliday - Halliday's Wine CompanionAn 81/19% blend matured in new and used French oak for 18 months. Fragrant blackcurrant/cassis aromas set the compass for a medium-bodied wine that has a delicious juicy stream of cassis and plum running down the middle of the palate with no need to even think about interference from tannins.'
