Bright and fresh with floral and blueberry aromas as well as some pine-nut undertones. Full body, round and silky tannins and a crisp finish. Delicious bottle already. Drink or hold.

While not at the level of the white from this estate, the 2015 Château Rahoul is still rock solid and offers a pretty, medium-bodied, lightly textured style as well as slightly herbal notes of strawberries, leafy herbs, earth, and spice-cabinet. It’s already drinking nicely yet should keep for 10-15 years.

Antonio Galloni MW - Vinous
The 2015 Rahoul is succulent and wonderfully expressive. Smoke, tar, licorice, plum and graphite meld together in a deep, exotic wine endowed with real depth and intensity. There is plenty of vintage 2015 ripeness, but it is very nicely balanced throughout. The fleshy, fruit-driven style works quite nicely.

A solid core of plum and black currant fruit is backed by light tar and black tea notes. Reveals well-embedded grip. Drink now through 2021. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 11,300 cases made.  –JM

An ambitious take on the vintage from Dourthe, pushing the ripeness of black cherry fruit with crème caramel and patisserie from the oak. Impactful wine of great value, approaching a Pessac in confidence. 2021-2025

The Rahoul 2015 Blanc needed to show more complexity and terroir expression on the nose. This just felt a little muted. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity and here shows more energy and tension, with a brisk saline, toffee apple-tinged finish. Drink over the next three or four years. Anticipated maturity: 2018 - 2023.

The 2015 Rahoul is pale to medium garnet in color with a fruity nose with plums and earth scents. The medium-bodied palate is chewy, firm and earthy with good length.
