The 2015 Beychevelle is composed of 47% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet in color, it struts out of the glass with showy scents of creme de cassis, plum preserves, and black cherry compote, leading to wafts of lilacs, Indian spices, camphor, and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a solid frame of chewy tannins and compelling freshness to support the generous, flamboyant fruit, finishing long and spicy.

Perfumed red with so much presence and brightness. Flowers, currants and blueberries. Some citrus. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Very fine and vivid. Better in 2022.
