Sidewood has made a statement in recent years with quality that is impressively consistent, here showing that stylish bottle fermented sparkling rosé is part of the mix.

A lovely frothy pink colour, this dry and layered fizz has power and weight with sprightly acidity keeping everything very fresh.

The awards received were a trophy, a double-gold, and five gold medals. The dosage here is well balanced, the red fruit echoes also more comforting.
93 Points - Patrick EckelA blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) the wine is named after the owners daughter and has seen a minimum of two years on lees prior to disgorgement. A pretty burnt orange to pink hue in the glass with a fine persistent bead that only comes from Methode Traditionelle. The nose combines rich brioche and and creamier notes alongside wild strawberry, citrus and fresh flowers. The palate has great balance with a line of red apple and citrus inspired acidity a constant. There is a return of the strawberry notes with some biscuity complexity that leads into a long, lemon zest dominant finish. Drinking well now, but as a vintage sparkling this has plenty of potential to age well over the medium term.

How's it taste?

With a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay this sparkling wine displays lifted aromas of fresh strawberries, red cherry and peach and is beautifully complemented by notes of brioche and biscotti. Pale blush pink in colour this wine identifies finesse with an attractive mousse, fine bed and soft creamy palate. Simply serve chilled.

How was it made?

A méthode traditionnelle blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, that spent 54 months on lees before being disgorged. It displays lifted aromas of fresh strawberries, red cherries and peaches and notes of brioche and biscotti, with an attractive mousse and soft creamy palate.

Who made it?

Owners and Vignerons, Owen and Cassandra Inglis founded Sidewood in 2004 with a passion to create beautifully balanced and elegant award winning wines of the highest quality. Though their history is short, Sidewood has achieved five red-star accreditation from James Halliday and in 2016 became the largest eco sustainable winery in the Adelaide Hills. Sidewood now encompasses four individual vineyards in Oakbank, Echunga, Nairne and Verdun. The original 300 acre Oakbank vineyard is situated in the Onkaparinga Valley, 380m above sea level. Climate, soil type, an unwavering focus on excellence in viticulture combined with hand-picking and fruit selection play a vital role to ensure that only the best fruit is grown and used for Sidewood Wines. Sidewood Wines are made by internationally acclaimed Winemaker, Darryl Catlin at Sidewood’s state of the art winery at Nairne in the Adelaide Hills.
