{"title":"Stadt Krems","description":"Weingut Stadt Krems boasts more than 550 years of history, making it one of the oldest wine producers in the whole of Europe. Since July 2003 it has been managed by a young, innovative team directed by Fritz Miesbauer. Its flagships are Riesling and Grüner Veltliner (over 90%). Fritz and the team cultivate 31 hectares of vineyards on the estate, whose holdings are exclusively on the best terraced locations of the city of Krems. Grüner Veltliner leads the plantings on the loess soil vineyards to the east of the city. To the west, bordering the Wachau, the landscape is mainly formed of small terraces on steep mountain slopes of gneiss and slate. This is where the vineyards of Pfaffenberg, Grillenparz, Wachtberg and Kögl are located.
