Simcic Marjan
Close
Josef Simcic first started to make in the Brda region in 1860. Five generations later, Marjan Simcic carries on the tradition. His 18 hectares of vineyards straddle the border between Italy and Slovenia. As a result of the regions undulating hills and many microclimates alongside the calcareous soil (known as Opoka, rich with nurturing minerals), the very hands-off, traditional winemaking of Marjan thrives.
The Simcic wines have capture global attention, including high praise from the likes of James Suckling, Decanter Magazine and Wine Spectator.
