{"title":"Navarro Lopez","description":"Nestled in the heart of Spain's central plateau, just south-east of Madrid, lies the historic wine region of Valdepeñas. With a rich history dating back centuries, this region is known for its exceptional wine production and is considered to be one of the oldest in Spain.\r\n\r\nThe landscape of Valdepeñas is a sight to behold, with gently undulating hills and poor soils that are dominated by clay sands. These soils vary in colour, ranging from brilliant off-white to deep, ochre red, due to the presence of copper and iron compounds. It is within this unique terroir that Bodegas Navarro López has established its winery.\r\n\r\nFounded in 1904 by Don Juan Megía Sánchez, Bodegas Navarro López has remained a family affair, passed down through generations. In 1989, the business was acquired by Doroteo Navarro Donando, who had a vision to transform it into the modern and successful entity that it is today.\r\n\r\nOne of the key factors that sets Bodegas Navarro López apart is its commitment to sourcing fruit from its own 173 hectares of vineyards. Of these, 150 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of Tempranillo, Spain's primary indigenous variety. This allows the winery to have complete control over the quality of its grapes, resulting in exceptional wines that truly reflect the unique characteristics of the Valdepeñas region.\r\n\r\nFrom its humble beginnings as a family-run operation to its current status as a renowned producer of high-quality wines, Bodegas Navarro López has remained true to its roots while embracing modern techniques and practices. With a focus on sustainability and a dedication to showcasing the beauty of Valdepeñas, this winery continues to be a shining star in the Spanish wine industry.","products":[],"url":"https:\/\/www.thewinecollective.com.au\/collections\/navarro-lopez-1.oembed","provider":"The Wine Collective","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
