Sacredtree Wines

Sacredtree wines are located in the heart of McLaren Vale and are crafted by Gemtree’s Chief Winemaker, Mike Brown. The wines are named after one of the oldest trees in McLaren Vale, a 500 year old Gumtree that sits in a key Sacredtree vineyard, close to where the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale meet. This monolithic tree is scarred from bushfires that have ravaged the area with its extensive hollowed out trunk possibly having sheltered local indigenous people for centuries.

Sacredtree Wines are created under the philosophy of maximising quality while ensuring the vineyards and their surrounding environment are also treated with the utmost respect. With this is mind many but not all of the Sacredtree wines are created while adhering to organic and biodynamic principles. All fruit is sourced from vineyards carefully selected by Chief Winemaker Mike Brown to ensure that Sacredtree wines offer unrivalled quality and value. The heart of these vineyards and Sacredtree are in McLaren Vale, although some wines in the range are also sourced from other premium South Australian regions.
