Baillieu Vineyard

Bailleau Vineyard was established in 1999 by Charlie and Samantha Baillieau on their 64 hectare property "Bulldog Run". The name Bulldog Run originates from the Bulldog Creek, a small perennial creek that winds its way through the adjoining Elgee Park. Elgee Park is also Samantha's family home. Baillieau Vineyard Location The 10 hectare, North-facing vineyard is ideally situated at the heart of the Mornington Peninsula in Merricks North. All grapes used for Ballieau Vineyard wines are sourced from the estate. Grape varieties grown are Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Viognier. Baillieau Vineyard Wine Styles Ballieu Vineyard's philosophy is "Producing quality wine from exceptional fruit." This commitment to quality and sense of place has been taken a step further with the appointment of a full time viticulturist to manage the day to day requirements of the vineyards. Baillieau Vineyard Wine Brands Baillieu Vineyards produce six single varietal wines, of which each label features individual artwork by Julie Johnston. These bright yet sophisticated labels each tell a story about the individual wines. Baillieau Vineyard Winery The wines are made on the estate by the winemaker, Kathleen Quealy. Appointments can be made to visit the winery, however the actual cellar door is at the iconic Merricks General Wine Store, located on the Hastings-Flinders road.
