Semillon

Semillon is a golden skinned variety that is the predominant white grape in the French region of Bordeaux. In its youth, semillon gives fresh, citrus flavoured wines. It makes both dry and sweet styles and is revered in Sauternes for some of the finest dessert wines in the world. Lemony Hunter Valley semillon is a classic Australian wine style with high acidity and great ageing potential. The grape also benefits from blending with sauvignon blanc, which is common in Western Australia. Semillon is now found in the new world regions of Argentina and Chile. Louise Radman radvine.com
